Medina Area Businesses Launch Partnership
Medina, NY, January 3, 2020 – The Medina business community is excited to announce the formation of a new organization to help grow and promote the greater Medina area. The Medina Area Partnership (MAP) will be an official 501c6 and include both members from within the 14103 area code and several outside businesses who have a vested interest in the continual progress of the area.
“For well over a decade, the MBA has represented the Medina business community through events, communications, and marketing,” said Cindy Robinson, the most recent president of the Medina Business Association. “The Medina Area Partnership will create new ways to promote our area, while continuing successful events like Ale in Autumn and Wine About Winter.”
“MAP aims to expand our focus from Leonard Oakes to Takeform, while continuing to place an emphasis on the growth and success of our downtown business community. The leadership, reputation, and success of the MBA over several decades has allowed for this new organization to start off on the right foot,” said Scott Robinson, acting-president of the Medina Area Partnership. “There’s a reason the Buffalo News, Step Out Buffalo, Buffalo Spree, and countless blogs have written about Medina in recent years. Our small community is a giant in the area, pulling together many voices with a common goal of being better tomorrow than we are today. What we’ve known about Medina for years is no longer a secret to those outside the area.”
After several informational presentations to the Medina Business Association (MBA) throughout the fall of 2019, it was voted to discontinue the MBA as an organization, thus dissolving. The action further would allow MAP to takeover the previous successful events, while continuing to add a focus on the greater Medina area.
The Medina Area Partnership is a collective voice of its members and a community of peers unifying on important matters, sharing information and resources, creating an atmosphere for the betterment of the business climate in Medina, New York. MAP aims to provide a network for collaboration, education, growth, and profitability.
As membership continues to grow, MAP is proud to announce the continuation of the successful Wine About Winter event, which is always held on the first Saturday of February. Tickets can be found on the Medina Area Partnership website, under the events page.
